8226. A LARGE & EARLY EGYPTIAN BRONZE MIRROR, ca. 2nd millennium BC. The mirror with a handle representing the Goddess Hathor. Considerable detail visible on handle under heavy incrustation. The mirror portion fragile & now broken, its encrustation with the imprint of the ancient fabric in which it was apparently wrapped. This is an important piece which should be professionally repaired and mounted. 15". Very rare! $3500 estimate.
