B2407. AN EARLY CYCLADIC MARBLE IDOL, ca. 2700 BC. The small marble figure with one hand along its side, the other across its back. 1.5". See Christie's London, Sept. 28, '98, Lot 253 for a related 10" figure estimated at $8,200-$13,000. This small type even rarer. Intact with areas of slight erosion.



B2408. A PAIR OF FINE THRACIAN EARRINGS, ca. 500-300 BC. Each large bronze earring ornamented with 3 hollow spheres the whole wrapped and secured with a fine twisted bronze wire. 2.1 inches. A little damage to spheres else intact. Very rare.



B2736. A FINE TERRACOTTA ANTEFIX. Tarentum, ca. 5th-4th century BC. The antefix adorned with a finely molded classical male head, likely Helios, facing 3/4 r. his thick curly hair flowing outward, considerable yellow slip remaining. 6.25 x 7.25 inches. A modern wire for hanging attached to the back. Very rare, and a beautiful example of classic Greek style. Purchased by the present owner from Hesperia Art in 1967.



B2409. A FINE GREEK BRONZE HORSEHEAD FINIAL, ca. 3rd-1st century BC. The finely modeled head ending in a socket for attachment, a hole in the nose for a pin. 1.5". Excellent condition with fine patina. Very rare.



B2410. A RARE GREEK BRONZE VOTIVE PLAQUE, ca. 2nd-1st century BC. The bronze plaque depicting a temple alcove with peaked top within which the busts of Isis and Serapis, Anubis? seated to the right with uraeus headdress, a bird flying above and a serpent crawling below. 1.4 x 1.7 inches. Intact and in excellent condition with choice patina. Extremely rare. Deserving of further study. Significantly better than image shows.



B2411. A FINE GREEK BRONZE HORSE, ca. 4th-2nd century BC. The horse in a proud prancing stance with right foreleg raised and head turned alertly to the right. 2 x 2.1 inches. Bottom of right hind leg lost else very nice condition. Rare.



B2412. A GREEK BRONZE HORSE, ca. 3rd-1st century BC. The small horse standing with head erect in an alert stance, incised detail to mane and tail. 1.6 x 1.6 inches. Losses to legs but still charming. On custom lucite stand.



B2413. A FINE GREEK BRONZE INTAGLIO RING, ca. 4th-1st century BC. The large ring with very large bezel carved with a Maenad in ecstasy with head thrown back and carrying a thrysos. 25mm. 19 x 21 mm internal diameter. The bezel 21 x 25 mm. Of extremely fine quality, excellent condition and extremely rare.



B2414. A FINE GREEK BRONZE INTAGLIO RING BEZEL, ca. 4th-1st century BC. The large ring bezel carved with a youth (Ganymede?) carrying a tripod riding the back of an eagle. 15 x 22 mm. Of extremely fine quality and extremely rare.



B2415. HALF OF A FINE GREEK BRACELET, ca. 1st-3rd century BC. The large heavy section terminating in a serpent head. 3.9". Excellent detail and patina. Very rare.



B2416. AN EXCEPTIONAL GREEK BRONZE BELL, ca. 5th-3rd century BC. The large bell of subconical form with heavy integral loop. 2.6 x 3.9 inches. Small line one side. Even though the iron clapper is lost, tapping the bell still produces a clear tone, a sound that was certainly heard also by some unknown ancient Greek. An unusually large and well preserved example.



B2417. A HELLENISTIC BRONZE VASE, ca. 3rd-1st century BC. Of elegant piriform shape with ring base and expanded rim. 4.5 x 6.5 inches. Excellent condition.



B2418. A FINE RED FIGURE MINIATURE OINOCHOE, ca. 4th century BC. Painted with a standing griffin between lilys, a palmette under the handle, added details on the griffins wings and mane in white. 3.2". Intact. Rare.



B2419. A RED FIGURE MINIATURE KRATER, ca. 4th century BC. Painted both sides with owls and laurel sprays. 2.2" x 2.3". Intact.



B2420. A RED FIGURE MINIATURE STEMLESS KRATER, ca. 4th century BC. Painted both sides with heads of youths or young satyrs. Added details in white. 2.4" x 2.5". Intact.



B2421. A LARGE DAUNIAN GREEK FUNNEL KRATER, ca. 5th century BC. The double-handled vessel with wide everted funnel rim, the body painted with bands and designs of brown. 11.5 x 15" across handles. The paint somewhat powdery. A large example.

The shallow votive bowl with high handle with double 'spectacles' rising from the rim, the whole including the underside decorated with designs in red and slate blue. 4.5 x 8 inches. Chip with abrasion to rim. A rare and desirable type.

B2435. AN HELLENISTIC OIL LAMP. Holy Land, ca. 2nd-1st century BC. With double ring handle and an Erote holding grapes or perhaps Hermes holding a purse and caduceus. 3.5". Rare type. Intact with marine? incrustation on bottom.
