5014. A HEAVY ASSYRIAN STYLE FRESCO, ca. early-mid 20th century. The fresco painted with two registers in an Assyrian/Persian style, the upper register a procession of dignitaries paying homage to the great king, the lower register soldiers dispatching prisoners and a nude female prisoner chained to a bed! The piece painted on plaster over heavy masonry backing, the surface showing age. 24 x 24 x 3 inches. A large impressive display piece with considerably more detail than image shows.
